BH COSMETICS

I had received my BH cosmetics 6 pan palette last week. I used it. Tried it out. And my opinion of these shadows are I'm not a big fan. To get the color pay off on the swatches I had to swatch at least 3 times to achieve the color payoff that you see in the pictures below. I think I will stick with Inglot : )

INGLOT RAINBOW EYESHADOWS

Here is my Inglot rainbow eyeshadow collection and swatches. As of the moment these are my most used eyeshadows. All of the rainbow eyeshadows from Inglot are matte. Inglot has a huge selection of eyeshadows but the majority has some slight shimmer to them. The rainbow collection are truly matte colors. Each eyeshadow has 3 shades of a color which I LOVE. You are basically buying 3 eyeshadows in one pan. 60 DIFFERENT SHADES for this whole collection. The swatches that I did are all the 3 colors in one pan combined. I would be here forever swatching 60 shades : ) Sometimes I use all the colors in one pan combined or individually. Right now my FAVORITE is 102R and 107R. Which are perfect colors for this coming thanksgiving also : )

GRAFTOBIAN HD FOUNDATION SUPER PALETTE

I love this foundation palette for my kit. It has all ranges of colors that you can mix to get the perfect shade for your client. This foundation has no SPF so it is excellent for pictures. It's a creamy HD foundation that you only need a tiny bit to cover your entire face. This really saves me money from buying individual bottles of foundation. To get a sheer coverage all I do is use a mixing medium and it
turns into a liquid form. Highly recommend this foundation to people that are looking for good quality makeup that has amazing results. It is
Also compact so that traveling with it makes it 100% easier.

DON'T IGNORE CRIES FOR HELP!

Sorry beauties that this is not beauty related but it is something that I cannot stress enough.

As I get older I see that my loved ones are being lost more often than ever before do to illness, accidents and PREVENTABLE causes. As many of us have seen in the tabloids there was a young girl 10 years old who took her own life. Suicides is becoming more and more public with younger children now. But very known to older adults under stress. I lost my uncle late last night. He took his own life leaving behind many family members and 3 very young grandchildren that adored him. Joking about suicide is not a joke! There are many people that joke about it and no one ever takes it seriously until it is too late. Just like many families out there they try to cover the real situation to not worry others. In my eyes I rather be worried and help than to see the Devastating outcome of all that was built up. Here is some stuff I researched and found that I think everyone should take a look at.

Suicide is a major, preventable public health problem. In 2007, it was the tenth leading cause of death in the U.S., accounting for 34,598 deaths.1 The overall rate was 11.3 suicide deaths per 100,000 people.1 An estimated 11 attempted suicides occur per every suicide death.1
Suicidal behavior is complex. Some risk factors vary with age, gender, or ethnic group and may occur in combination or change over time.
If you are in a crisis and need help right away:
Call this toll-free number, available 24 hours a day, every day: 1-800-273-TALK (8255). You will reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, a service available to anyone. You may call for yourself or for someone you care about. All calls are confidential.
What are the risk factors for suicide?
Research shows that risk factors for suicide include:
depression and other mental disorders, or a substance-abuse disorder (often in combination with other mental disorders). More than 90 percent of people who die by suicide have these risk factors.2
prior suicide attempt
family history of mental disorder or substance abuse
family history of suicide
family violence, including physical or sexual abuse
firearms in the home,3 the method used in more than half of suicides
incarceration
exposure to the suicidal behavior of others, such as family members, peers, or media figures.2
However, suicide and suicidal behavior are not normal responses to stress; many people have these risk factors, but are not suicidal. Research also shows that the risk for suicide is associated with changes in brain chemicals called neurotransmitters, including serotonin. Decreased levels of serotonin have been found in people with depression, impulsive disorders, and a history of suicide attempts, and in the brains of suicide victims. 4
Are women or men at higher risk?
Suicide was the seventh leading cause of death for males and the fifteenth leading cause of death for females in 2007.1
Almost four times as many males as females die by suicide.1
Firearms, suffocation, and poison are by far the most common methods of suicide, overall. However, men and women differ in the method used, as shown below.1
Suicide by: Males (%) Females (%)
Firearms 56 30
Suffocation 24 21
Poisoning 13 40
Is suicide common among children and young people?
In 2007, suicide was the third leading cause of death for young people ages 15 to 24.1 Of every 100,000 young people in each age group, the following number died by suicide:1
Children ages 10 to 14 — 0.9 per 100,000
Adolescents ages 15 to 19 — 6.9 per 100,000
Young adults ages 20 to 24 — 12.7 per 100,000
As in the general population, young people were much more likely to use firearms, suffocation, and poisoning than other methods of suicide, overall. However, while adolescents and young adults were more likely to use firearms than suffocation, children were dramatically more likely to use suffocation.1
There were also gender differences in suicide among young people, as follows:
Nearly five times as many males as females ages 15 to 19 died by suicide.1
Just under six times as many males as females ages 20 to 24 died by suicide.1
Are older adults at risk?
Older Americans are disproportionately likely to die by suicide.
Of every 100,000 people ages 65 and older, 14.3 died by suicide in 2007. This figure is higher than the national average of 11.3 suicides per 100,000 people in the general population. 1
Non-Hispanic white men age 85 or older had an even higher rate, with 47 suicide deaths per 100,000.1
Are Some Ethnic Groups or Races at Higher Risk?
Of every 100,000 people in each of the following ethnic/racial groups below, the following number died by suicide in 2007.1
Highest rates:
American Indian and Alaska Natives — 14.3 per 100,000
Non-Hispanic Whites — 13.5 per 100,000
Lowest rates:
Hispanics — 6.0 per 100,000
Non-Hispanic Blacks — 5.1 per 100,000
Asian and Pacific Islanders — 6.2 per 100,000
What are some risk factors for nonfatal suicide attempts?
As noted, an estimated 11 nonfatal suicide attempts occur per every suicide death. Men and the elderly are more likely to have fatal attempts than are women and youth.1
Risk factors for nonfatal suicide attempts by adults include depression and other mental disorders, alcohol and other substance abuse and separation or divorce.5,6
Risk factors for attempted suicide by youth include depression, alcohol or other drug-use disorder, physical or sexual abuse, and disruptive behavior.6,7
Most suicide attempts are expressions of extreme distress, not harmless bids for attention. A person who appears suicidal should not be left alone and needs immediate mental-health treatment.
What can be done to prevent suicide?
Research helps determine which factors can be modified to help prevent suicide and which interventions are appropriate for specific groups of people. Before being put into practice, prevention programs should be tested through research to determine their safety and effectiveness.8 For example, because research has shown that mental and substance-abuse disorders are major risk factors for suicide, many programs also focus on treating these disorders as well as addressing suicide risk directly.
Studies showed that a type of psychotherapy called cognitive therapy reduced the rate of repeated suicide attempts by 50 percent during a year of follow-up. A previous suicide attempt is among the strongest predictors of subsequent suicide, and cognitive therapy helps suicide attempters consider alternative actions when thoughts of self-harm arise.9
Specific kinds of psychotherapy may be helpful for specific groups of people. For example, a treatment called dialectical behavior therapy reduced suicide attempts by half, compared with other kinds of therapy, in people with borderline personality disorder (a serious disorder of emotion regulation).10
The medication clozapine is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for suicide prevention in people with schizophrenia.11 Other promising medications and psychosocial treatments for suicidal people are being tested.
Since research shows that older adults and women who die by suicide are likely to have seen a primary care provider in the year before death, improving primary-care providers' ability to recognize and treat risk factors may help prevent suicide among these groups.12 Improving outreach to men at risk is a major challenge in need of investigation.
What should I do if I think someone is suicidal?
If you think someone is suicidal, do not leave him or her alone. Try to get the person to seek immediate help from his or her doctor or the nearest hospital emergency room, or call 911. Eliminate access to firearms or other potential tools for suicide, including unsupervised access to medications.

NARS LAGUNA BRONZER

I have had this bronzer sitting for almost two weeks now. I have decided to use it FINALLY! Lol. I have been using it for the past 3 days and I really love this bronzer. It is perfect for light contouring. I naturally have tanned skin so I would have to pile it on to see a drastic change. I like that it has a slight gold tone to it. I like to have shimmer in my blushes and bronzers sometimes : )

2011 HOLIDAY NARS DANMARI ALL ABOUT CHEEK PALETTE

This limited-edition mirrored holiday NARS compact features the essential blush and bronzer shades, ranging from warm bronze and luminous highlighting hues to shockingly bright pink.

This Palette has 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer and 4 blushes.
Highlight Color in Hungry Heart (gold ivory), blush Super Orgasm (peachy pink with gold glitter), blush Desire (cotton candy pink), bronzer Casino (dark brown with golden shimmer), blush Orgasm (peachy pink with golden shimmer), blush Sin (berry with gold shimmer).

I really love all of these colors. I love the bronzer in casino. I like LAGUNA but for my skin tone I thought I could use a bronzer a shade darker and casino hit it on the head. I'm in love with the highlight hungry heart also. All of these pretty much have some type of glitter, shimmer or glow to them. I am really glad that I was able to get my hands on this palette. I'm in LOVE! Lol

For those that love NARS or never tried NARS before this palette is a great start! Highly recommend this palette : )

FAVORITE MINERALIZE EYESHADOWS

There are five MAC mineralize eyeshadows that I really love. I love the texture and pigmentation of these particular ones better than the others that I have. I thought I would share with you my favorites : ) The fresh green mix is VERY close to chartreuse pigment. And play on plums is VERY close to Gold Stoke pigment.

Urban Decay Naked Palette & Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette

I took out all my eyeshadows to see the colors that I have a I was trying to figure out a list of colors that I do not have in my collection. While doing this I have noticed that the Urban Decay Naked palette and the Urban Decay 15th anniversary palette have duped colors and labeled them with a different name. So I took swatches and labeled from which palette they were from : )

INGLOT EYESHADOW SWATCHES

This blog post is long overdue. I have not taken any pictures of swatches of my inglot eyeshadows. I took some time to go through my inglot eyeshadows which all of them are named by a certain finish with a number. As said in my previous blogs I am a huge fan of inglot eyeshadows. My opinion.....they are worth every penny! Cheaper than MAC eyeshadows, you get more product and the pigmentation is incredible : )
